Reporting to: Finance & Pensions Manager and ultimately Financial and HR Director
Salary and bonus discussed on application
- This is a development role with long-term prospects.
- Initially providing administrative support whilst learning the role of the Finance & Pensions Manager (role functions below), with a view to taking over the role within the next few years.
- Undertaking (or continuing) ACCA studies.
- To provide high-level technical support to the Financial & HR Director.
Corporation tax and VAT
Accounts receivable and credit management
Preparation and production of annual statutory accounts
Management of company payrolls
Treasury and cash management
Pensions administration and pensions annual accounts
Provision of accurate and timely statistics to Government departments
Keeping abreast of current and changing financial legislation and taxation
Relevant degree or AAT qualified
Ability to work to cyclical deadlines
Advanced MS Excel
Potential to grow into a more senior role within the company
Methodical and process driven
A working knowledge of MS Word
A working knowledge of SAP
Previous experience working within a finance team environment
Hands-on approach to problem-solving
Confidence and professionalism to liaise with colleagues at a senior level
Ability to positively influence behaviour to ensure compliance with business processes
